We’ll change your mind about doing business in China

Q. When we agree with Vista to do manufacturing in China, do we have to go to China and manage the processes and production in China?

A. You do not have to go to China. We manage all aspects of manufacturing in China. As part of our commitment to quality assurance however, we have an open door policy that includes a standing invitation to all of our customers, welcoming them to visit our production facility and our key suppliers’ facilities in China.

Q. Are duty and taxes included in my quotation?

A. Unless otherwise noted, our quote includes all charges for freight, duty and taxes in the piece price.

Q. Who determines which factory or which additional suppliers
if any, will be used?

A. Our customer’s guidelines and specifications usually determine the requirements for outsourcing to sub-contractors and other suppliers in China. We are diligent in selecting the most qualified sources to meet both price and engineering requirements on behalf of our customers.

Q. What do your actual offices and production facilities
consist of in China?

A. We have two production facilities in China, each with additional office space associated with management of the facilities. We emphasize the technical and quality assurance aspects of outsourcing. Our facilities concentrate on assemblies and light machining. We control assemblies in order to conduct thorough quality inspections before assembly, providing the added benefit of intellectual property protection when needed.

Q. Do you have a minimum quantity order requirement?

A. Often factories in China do not quote low volume items due to the time investment required in taking on new customers. We have no minimum order constraints. We are equally effective in large volumes or short production runs.

A. No, you don’t have to issue a letter of credit to Vista. You work with Vista the same way as you would with any other supplier you have in the United States. Our standard terms are net 30 for customers submitting a standard credit application for approval.  (LINK TO CREDIT APP)

Q. If there was a defect in one or more of the units, how does your company respond to the situation?

A. We stand behind all of our products, and warrantee our products against defects in materials and/or workmanship. If there is a defect, Vista will replace the defective item at no cost to the customer. If the problem is more widespread, Vista will investigate the problem, provide a solution and replace or provide credit for the defective units.
