Walter "Wally" Franczyk

Originally from Chicago, Walter J. Franczyk (he will insist you call him Wally) is a cofounder and Vice President of Engineering and Sales for Vista International.

He shared a vision of developing manufacturing capabilities in China, which could enable small to medium-size U.S. OEM manufacturers to procure reliable components and assemblies from China at price points which would allow them to remain competitive.

Wally received his BSME degree from the University of Illinois/Illinois Institute of Technology. His background is a model blend of engineering expertise and sales management experience within the manufacturing sector.

He has served in myriad engineering management positions including supervisory roles in testing and test lab procedures as well as holding design engineer and assistant chief engineer posts. He works fluently within all aspects of the manufacturing process. During his career, Wally extended his efforts to incorporate development and improvement of manufacturing processes including gearing and raw materials (casting and forging), supplier development and implementation of quality programs and procedures.

Sales highlights include the founding of successful sales rep organizations, generating sales from ground-zero and expanding to meet multi-million dollar volume targets for U.S., European and South American metal producers. Wally’s expertise includes managing diverse sales organizations and personnel, cost structures of product, preparation and management of P&Ls and direct reporting authority to the highest operational management levels.

Wally’s sales knowledge also encompasses account management of casting, forging and steel sales for Fortune 50 organizations; his track record is remarkably consistent, generating significant double-digit growth year after consecutive year.

What this means to Vista International customers is that Wally is capable of guiding the process from a technical standpoint and also managing the less tangible side of consistent communication and high-level customer care.
He is as comfortable in complex technical discussions and he is in problem
solving, expediting orders and facilitating on-time, on-budget deliveries.
In short, Wally’s capacity for exceeding customer expectations is extraordinary.
